I work on computers all day as a programmer...Over the years, I have found that plasma screen monitors are much softer on the eyes. I hate the traditional monitors...I feel like that electron is punching straight through the back of my skull. ----- Original Message ----- From: Jim Gibson To: utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com ; uvaa@mailman.xmission.com Sent: Tuesday, November 25, 2003 10:30 AM Subject: [UVAA] Dark adapted eyes I have been reading a little about the importance of dark adapted eyes. It seems that being out in the bright sun may cause your eyes to take longer that 24 hours to reach your full sensitivity to darkness. Has any one on the list read anything about what a computer monitor does to your eyes in terms of how long the effects last before your eyes recover for dark sensitivity?
