Thanks so much for the effort to put this together for us. The 26th would be great, and we could go to the 27th if there is a difference in the weather.
Let's plan on meeting in the parking lot of the South-most park in South fork Canyon (up from Provo Canyon) and plan to start about 8 pm. I believe the entrance sign is marked "National Forest Service trail head" or something like that. I also believe it's about 3 miles up the canyon. If anyone has a better description please post it! I'll try to do the same (need to research it some or drive up there).
I'll start planning and organizing around the night of Wednesday the 26th. Are there lights that don't ruin night vision?
There is a bathroom light up there near the parking lot that we could cover with alumnium foil.
Is there anything that we should plan on preparing or bringing? Is there anything special that they will be seeing that we might want to learn about in the next week?
We will likely cover some of the objects visible on the star chart you can print for free from this website: http://www.skymaps.com/downloads.html
The kids (and teachers) are excited. Thanks again.
