[UVAA] Zodiacal light

I failed to mention earlier that all of us at Rush Valley Saturday night were treated to a very, very bright showing of the zodiacal light, so much so that it was a nuisance to those trying to start their Messier Marathon. I don't remember ever seeing it so distinctly before. Did those at SPOC see it as well? What are the necessary conditions that make it visible?
