[UVAA] Re: astronomy magazine and books

S&T is my choice as well. Every issue has information written for beginners but also contains stuff you can grow into as well. Apparently I'm not alone. During my several stints as SLAS Sec/Treas I always noticed that the vast majority of those in SLAS subscribing to the magazines (SLAS offers discounted subscriptions to S&T and Astronomy) always went with S&T.
