Well the weather here is not the best at 1500' BUT for the Mars encounter we will go to the top of Haleakala (10027') w/ my C-8 and Roberts 8" F4. We have EP's from 3mm to 55mm but I missed out on a TV 5mm Radian for 145 by 15 min. Oh well .......... QUESTION What is the exact time and day that Mars is closest to us?? I read in the paper it's Tuesday night and others say it Wednesday night and on my calendar I marked it the 28th at the beginning of the year. I believe it's really Wednesday night/Thursady AM it's the closest. How was the trip to San Diego?? Get any waves from the hurricanes??
