Sean, I just heard from a friend in Bountiful that the guy with the building out there is nearing a deal on the place. I don't know what the plan is for the games, but it might be worth a call.
Interesting....I'm still interested in the pins and pin parts if anyone can find out what's going on up there..... later, jeff ----- Original Message ----- From: "Pete Ashdown" <pashdown@xmission.com> To: <utvgg@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Friday, March 04, 2005 4:27 PM Subject: [UtVgG] Bountiful building

Let's keep our collective fingers crossed, but Greg's stuff isn't that much better that Valley Music's, and Greg was harder to deal with. He wanted to do a "take it all" deal and probably still would, especially if he is needing to move. Pics of Greg's stuff, but you've seen them before. http://www.classifind.net/noiseland/warehouse1/ Hosted at my house, 900Kb (bits, not bytes) connection, yada yada. ***** Copy of sent email: Hello Greg, I don't know if you remember me, I was trying to buy some or all of the arcade equipment you have in your Colonial Square property. I saw last week that you still have many games in there, and I'm still interested. If you ever need to move them, please contact me. I have a pretty good network and could probably move most if not all of your equipment. Thank you for your time, ***** Sean
Wonder if the R-360 is still there and working. A few software mods and it would be a lot of fun! Kurt On Mon, Mar 07, 2005 at 09:17:17AM -0700, Sean McLachlan wrote:

A friend of mine has a really nice JOUST for sale. Works fine. I have pics, so send an e-mail if you want to see them. She is accepting all offers. Oh, this is local (SLC) so no shipping would be required. If you even wanted to own a nice JOUST, this would be an opportunity :) later, jeff
Greg replied. "I am out of the office until next week but would like to get serious. Let's talk next week." That's the whole email. So, since I proved that I'm not the greatest organizer of game buys last week, I'd like opinions on how to handle it. Unless he decides to flat out give it all away in return for getting it out of there, I can't buy it all on my own, nor do I want all of it even if he does give it away for free, so the more people involved the better. For the record, I'd like to state that I'm not looking to make any money of being the middleman nor do I want the responsibility really, but I'll do as much of the dealing as I need to. I promised Jeff P. dibs on the pins last year and if Kurt M. still wants the mini he gets it cause I'm personally indebted to him for all the help he's given me. The spare parts are non existent, BTW. Someone else got everything but a bunch of billiards stuff and misc. junk. So what's the best way to decide if this is even worth pursuing? How many of you are interested in multiple games? Does anyone know anyone who could take that non working (it gets 3/4 of the way through initializing, then hangs, according to Greg) R360 off our hands? What else am I overlooking here? Sean

If we can find a temporary warehouse to move it to in order to sort it out, that would be great. I've had miserable luck in finding a cheap warehouse near me. Any ideas?

I've been looking at storage places all week. Nothing wonderful yet. Very few have power available, which I really want in a game storage/repair site. -Chris
So are we looking at building a non-profit co-op here? >:) I am running outta space as well. And most of that stuff isn't working... So it would be more projects. And I've shifted even more over to pins, so I'd be trying to schmooze some off of Jeff P. ;) On Wed, 9 Mar 2005, Pete Ashdown wrote:

On deal points, I've had the best success just showing up with cash....most operators HATE it when you leave their presense with cash in your pocket that they know about :) I suppose the first thing to find out from Greg is basically if he wants to sell by piece or does he just want to be done with it and sell it in a lot. If it's the 'take it all' scenario, price for that type of stuff usually goes $25-50 a game (cabinet)...no questions asked. Because a lot of what's there (going off the pics) will go straight into the dumpster, it would be really, really hard to go higher than that...including all the pin stuff. So, we could either show up there one day and haggle on the spot, or try to find out where his head really is at this point. If he's already sold off the 'cherry' stuff, perhaps he now realizes how difficult it will be to move the rest of the broken games/cabinets and would rather be done with the 'boat anchor' that they now represent....who knows. I like Pete's idea on cheap storage, but not sure where.... I've got a 400 sq ft storage area in Sandy (that most of you have seen) and that runs me (gulp!) $150 a month...probably doesn't fit the 'cheap' catagory, but something like that could be an option for a couple of months if needed. That's my thoughts for the moment.... jeff ----- Original Message ----- From: "Pete Ashdown" <pashdown@xmission.com> To: "Sean McLachlan" <sean@lithoflexo.com> Cc: <utvgg@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Wednesday, March 09, 2005 4:11 PM Subject: Re: [UtVgG] Bountiful building
