Maybe some of you saw this already... http://www.superauctions.com/dates.html November 16th, 2002 Utah State Fair Park
While doing some cleanup at my mom's house, we discovered some old Atari 2600/400/800XL manuals/documentation. This stuff, while cool for nostalgia sake, isn't worth saving so we're probably gonna just throw it all away. I'd prefer to give it to someone who collects it though if anyone here fits that description (or if you know someone) ...
In addition to that, if similar people are interested, I have to following to add: 2600s (unopened in box) Atari XE system (new) 2600, 5200, 7800, XE cartridges (some unopened) joysticks... ----- Original Message ----- From: Matt O <redflame@xmission.com> To: <utvgg@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Friday, June 28, 2002 12:47 PM Subject: [UtVgG] anyone collect old Atari manuals/documentation ?

Whoo hooo! It will be fun to go, although from other auction results that have been posted not every one is a bargain filed bonanza of classics. I saw this shirt on thinkgeek.com, http://www.thinkgeek.com/stuff/apparel/59d1.shtml <http://www.thinkgeek.com/stuff/apparel/59d1.shtml> and was tempted to buy it. Now maybe I will and wear it to the auction. Wait, would that be like wearing Spock Ears to a Star Trek convention? I guess it would be. OK, wearing the shirt is out, but I still may get it. I like the Atari looking cab they used for the base design. Yipppee! I can't wait to see Best and Vina down there posting ridiculous reserves. Then on the other hand, we just may get lucky. Its about time the auctions came to Utah, I hope it will be a regular occurrence.
Now all we have to do is hope Pete doesn't buy everything.. :) This'll be fun. We should organize things -- turn it into a party -- if nothing else it'll be good to bring tools and help move our (pete's) purchases.. Kurt

Actually my thoughts were along the lines of games to get rid of. Now that I've said that, I'm sure the auction will consist of rare vectors and Atari & Williams prototypes.

Har har. I'll rent a 24' truck that I'm happy to share. Maybe I should bring my wife. That will help me control myself. :-)
