Anyone have a picture of the Gold Mine arcade sign from Cross Roads mall? -- Sean McLachlan

Hahaha...I suspect you're thinking the same thing I am, Sean. I was planning to line the walls of my future arcade with some of my mine artifacts (including a ladder from a now-closed gold mine) and then get a custom "gold mine" sign made. As I recall, "Gold Mine" arcades were part of "Nickels And Dimes" chain, along with Tilt and a couple other games. There has to be a photo of the Gold Mine sign somewhere. -Chris
Here's a nice looking arcade photo, but probably not the one you're thinking of: <http://everseradio.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/arcade84.jpg> -- "The Direct3D Graphics Pipeline" -- DirectX 9 draft available for download <http://www.xmission.com/~legalize/book/download/index.html> Legalize Adulthood! <http://blogs.xmission.com/legalize/>
That is a nice pic. Isn't it from the "arcade 84" video? -- Sean McLachlan MIS Manager, Quality Manager LithoFlexo grafics 801.484.8503 sean@lithoflexo.com Richard wrote:

Yeah, that's from the video. It makes me sick to think what we've lost...and I'm only 26! Man, I really miss the arcades. I have my own little arcade now, but there was something magical about going to an arcade and seeing a crowd around a new machine or managing to find that lucky pinball machine with a credit on it because the last person walked away during the match sequence...good times. I love those Time Out pics. And I love your basement pics. I'm doing the same thing right now myself, and I've decided on the name "The Gold Mine arcade". Since crossroads mall had an arcade named that, I'd like to try and use the same design. If I can't find it, I'll crank something up from memory and call it good. And Bert, did you ever look for the front bezel peice for that mini? It's just a piece on angle metal with 2 holes, but I'd like to get it if you still have it. -- Sean McLachlan Bert Ankrom wrote:

Not going with any "mine" theme over here. I just like the name, it seems to work for me on a couple different levels. Your idea sounds pretty cool though.

Thanks for the parent company lead. I'll see if it goes anywhere, and if I find anything, I'll share. -- Sean McLachlan
