I typically only buy games when they're extraordinarily cheap, or when I can trade for them. The one time I broke down and bought a game on ebay at market value because I just had to have it, I found the same game a month later for $20. I'd say wait, you'll get what you're looking for sooner or later. The deal I'm getting from the guy is $600 with shipping included from New Jersey. Now, it's 100% functional, but the joystick is sloppy and the monitors both need to be capped. I'd probably also toss in new art, but it's not necessary. I figure I'd be around $700 total to have a new looking machine that plays well. The upside is that I'll have it now and I don't need to keep waiting out the local scene, but the downside is that I feel like I could get one for around $500 with a bit more patience. Decisions, decisions, decisions...
