Does this mean I could mount Tempest in the Tron Kurt sold me, which I just barely paid for? :-0 Note to all you guys: don't ever let me take anything without putting cash in your hand first. It could be months before you see any money. :-) Kurt, the paypal should be in your account when you read this. The Tron is one of the most popular games in my gameroom. Everything on the monitors have a replacement source, except the yoke, and how often do they go bad in a home use situation? Never to almost never, I would bet. Tubes can be swapped, flybacks are available and solder can be re-flowed. I would think my vector monitors will be able to outlive me. I don't see this gaining much traction among collectors, but the resellers and people who just want a game or 2 in front of their home theater will probably account for enough sales to keep this around for a while. 800x600 is not high enough resolution to fake a nice diagonal line on a 19' monitor. -- Sean Kurt Mahan wrote:

CRT vs LCD debate may have some merit when we're talking about raster, but there isn't anything like an original vector screen. An ad for this product landed in my box today: Nice! Wish it was compatible with more XY stuff. In the atari family it doesn't handle SW/ESB or the BW games. And it doesn't handle the Sega stuff.
But at least there is hope. --Kurt
