For Kurt and Windows 7
I have since given my Windoze 7 laptop to my older daughter, but if I remember, correctly, I was trying to get some of my older programs and the Meade DSI imager (the first one) to run on that machine. What I did was download the free version of VMware and run a simulated XP Pro within VMware and that seemed to fix the problem. Hopefully, you have an older Windoze operating system laying around that you can load into the VMware simulator. Later, I purchased a Mac Pro laptop and used Boot Camp to boot, natively, into XP Pro. This has worked much better. The problem with the newer computers is they have 64-bit addressing which makes better use of Windoze 7’s memory capabilities. Sometimes you get 32-bit addressing, but the programs and older peripherals still don’t run correctly under Windoze 7. Try the VMware fix and see if that helps. It’s pretty easy to use. Dave
