Kurt, Don is correct about Windoze 7 having an emulator to run legacy systems. However, I think you have to have a computer that is hardware- enabled to run this emulator. I could be wrong, but I think that’s the case. Many computers do not have the hardware to achieve emulation. Look into using VMware’s free emulator. It’s easy to use and does not require any special hardware configuration on your part. Dave
Windows XP mode runs on Windows 7 Professional, Ultimate or Enterprise editions only. There is an update you can install if your pc does not support hardware-assisted virtualization. If it does support it then there would be a BIOS setting to turn it on. My experience with XP mode shows that it's not perfect when dealing with hardware that has to transfer a lot of data, but it does work pretty well overall. It is a separate download so if you haven't downloaded the components you might want to do that and try it. It's not installed automatically.
