20 years ago today
It just occurred to me that it was 20 years ago today (11 July) that many SLASers watched what for all of us was the longest total eclipse of the Sun we'll ever see. Some boarded a chartered 737 for LaPaz, Mexico, some took the train to the Mexican mainland and a few jetted across the Pacific to Hawaii. And I've got the shirt and pix to prove it... http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/lapaz1991.jpg Memories... patrick :)
Oh yes, I remember it so well! Sky and I went along too. What great fun. Thanks, Patrick ________________________________ From: Patrick Wiggins <paw@wirelessbeehive.com> To: utah astronomy utah astronomy listserve <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Monday, July 11, 2011 11:16 PM Subject: [Utah-astronomy] 20 years ago today It just occurred to me that it was 20 years ago today (11 July) that many SLASers watched what for all of us was the longest total eclipse of the Sun we'll ever see. Amazing memories indeed, I almost went blind that day and regret nothing, I guess having a shirt would have been a much better deal, just happened to take a peek at it with my bare eyes and I still remember it, I was only 7 years old or so, if it wasn’t for your post I wouldn’t remember it was on this day... totally unrelated question now though.. does anybody know why my replies are not “chained” to the main thread ever? I get the feeling I’m doing something wrong when posting.. --Jorge G. On 2011-07-12 05:16, Patrick Wiggins wrote:

Hi Jorge, Not sure what you mean by chained but as you can see below your reply did show up attached to the original post. But back to eclipses: Looking forward to May of next year and August of 2017. patrick On 11 Jul 2011, at 23:42, Jorge Gutierrez wrote:
