Hello to my Utah Astronomy friends!!! Will anyone who thinks I made the Abu Dhabi comment please contact me off list? How about the "discovery" at CERN yesterday? It seems almost unimaginable that something that small could be in any way related to what makes up 6%% of the universe. I can't wait to hear more. What are your thoughts? Steve
List: I believe I was the first to make the Abu Dhabi comment, but it was not a comment on involuntary deportation but rather a suggestion to those who may feel more at home not observing a very traditional, easy expression of one's patriotism on Independence Day. Yes, that destination is not a hell-hole, but rather (according to Wikipedia), currently the richest city in the world. I'm sure that only a few utah-astro list members could afford to live there. Please accept my sincere apology if I was in any way responsible for kindling this latest rhubarb. Erik and Steve are both men of integrity and I trust both implicitly. Now, if only the rain clouds would part for a few minutes so could play with my PST!
Thanks for the clarification, Chuck! On Thu, Jul 5, 2012 at 3:10 PM, Chuck Hards <chuck.hards@gmail.com> wrote:

I do see that Chuck was just using humor to make a point, that everyone celebrates their patriotism in different ways. Don't judge. Thanks for the clarification, Chuck!
