A colleague of mine at work has an Odyssey 1 (13.1" f/4.5) that he picked up second hand at the Hanssen Planetarium many years ago. He wants to sell it, preferably to someone local (its heavy, he says 120lb!). Can anyone suggest what it might be worth? A smaller Odyssey Compact (10.1" f4.5) recently sold for $245 + shipping on AM. Cheers David
The older Dobs were rather massive and that can be a problem when selling but if the scope and optics are in good condition $400 or maybe even $500 would be out of line. What do you think, Chuck? Also, what finder and eyepiece(s) come with the scope? Once he decides on a price I'd be happy to run a mention in News about it. patrick On 14 Dec 2007, at 21:20, Naz & David wrote:
