I didn't look at 17P last night telescopically - only with binoculars. Since Wednesday, I'm told that 17P has increased in size from 2-3 arcmins to 6 arcmins for the central coma and to 17 arcmins for the diffuse coma. I added a physical size reference table for 2 to 30 arcmins to the Utah Astro website based on today's Earth-to-17P distance: http://www.utahastronomy.com/Current_observing_events#Reference_Table_Physic... At these reported arcmin diameters, the central coma is now several times the size of Jupiter and the diffuse coma is as big as the Sun. - Kurt _______________________________________________ Sent via CSolutions - http://www.csolutions.net
