I'm reading reports from all over of great Geminid displays. But here we have clouds. I did spot a nice one through clouds half hour ago. Must have been great sans clouds. patrick
It's partly cloudy in Park City. I also spotted a nice one about an hour ago when I was out walking the dogs. Nancy On Thu, Dec 13, 2012 at 10:20 PM, Wiggins Patrick <paw@wirelessbeehive.com>wrote:

Was it in the SE moving down and to the right starting about half way up the sky? Would be interesting if it was the same one I saw. Mine was at 9:15. patrick On 13 Dec 2012, at 22:33, Nancy Matro wrote:

Don't think it was the same one. The one I saw was in the SE moving down and to the left about halfway up the sky. And it was probably between 8:45 and 9:00. I just went outside and it's clouded over now. :-( Nancy Sent from my iPad On Dec 13, 2012, at 10:37 PM, Wiggins Patrick <paw@wirelessbeehive.com> wrote:

I got one! The clouds discouraged me - I saw three beauties with my eyes but packed it in around midnight when the clouds rolled in. I let the camera keep vigil for a few more hours and it caught a nice Geminid through the clouds: http://goo.gl/o3LOz I'm glad I got at least one on the camera. Here is the 1-minute timelapse video covering the 2-hours the camera was keeping watch. Too bad the timer stopped when it did - it was starting to clear up! http://youtu.be/ZpK2VVt84pI Dion ________________________________ From: Wiggins Patrick <paw@wirelessbeehive.com> To: Utah Astronomy <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Thursday, December 13, 2012 10:20 PM Subject: [Utah-astronomy] Geminids I'm reading reports from all over of great Geminid displays. NICE, Dion! I couldn't see it on the video until I played it several times, stopping the action as often as I could -- it showed up at 8 secs. instead of 9. You'll have to tell us about setting up your camera, because that's an impressive technique.
