I made a "quick & dirty" platform for a Quickfinder or BB-gun sight that attaches to most binocular "L" brackets. Pick up a 90-degree corner angle-brace steel fence/gate fixture (Stanley or similar) with at least 2" long "legs". If needed, drill a 1/4" hole near the end of one leg, centered. This hole slips over the threaded stud that threads into the binocular. These angles usually have screw holes already, but rarely centered. If you've still got at least 4 threads exposed after you slide-on the angle, you can attach your binocular securely, with the angle between the bino and the "L" bracket, pointing back over the prism housings, or forward toward the objectives, as desired for clearance. You can imagine that this top leg now serves as a mounting platform for the sight. Drill mounting holes as needed. (remove binocular first!) Look for a bracket not over 1/16" thick, to make sure there is enough thread left on the mounting knob. There sure are a lot of inexpensive BB-gun sights popping up in all the outdoors/camping/hunting catalogs. Chuck __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
