There may not be as much missing mass as we think. As a matter of fact, I'm keeping a few pounds of it safely under my belt. As I look around the club, I can see that a few others are hoarding as well.
I am proud to say that I am not responsible for the missing mass. I have dropped almost 20 lbs. this year and am currently running 3 miles daily, 7 days a week. Clearly bucking the "bloated red giant" club trend, where does this put me on the HR diagram? Shedding mass in a runaway process...could I be getting ready to go nova? My wife has accused me of shedding massive amounts of gas on occasion... When I get old, and my belt is up around my armpits (ever see a photo of Clyde Tombaugh late in life?) I suppose I'll be a white dwarf. After I expire, I'll be tossed into the black hole forever. Or my wife may have me cremated, in which case I'd end up as a carbon star. --- Michael Carnes <michaelcarnes@earthlink.net> wrote:
