Could we have another head count of potential attendees?
I'm planning to come Saturday evening. I will be bringing one or two of my children. Jim Cobb SLAS member jcobb@acm.org
I'm a convert!!! Earlier I thought eyepiece projection was the way to make videos of Mars. Well, last night I had such a great time with a 2X Barlow that I am convinced this really is the way. Shooting from SLC didn't help, but between about midnight and 1 a.m. the air steadied and I got some very nice shots. The Barlow made it almost easy. Lacus Solis, the "Eye of Mars" was extremely clear, and other marks showed up. Of course the ice cap was the most prominent feature. Best wishes, Joe Joe Bauman science & military reporter Deseret News bau@desnews.com (801) 237-2169
