Here is another twist. What if we observe that their "religion" is similar to ours (pick whatever one of ours you like for the sake of discussion). However, they, in their more advanced technological state but not necessarily more advanced state of humility, fail to recognize that we seem to worship the same God. Thus, they take it upon themselves to proselytize us.
