Larry and Chuck have both made excellent points. Perhaps I should have written "just for profit business." Making a profit isn't bad or sinful, its appropriate and fair - when it is reasonable. It's only my opinion, but Meade lost its focus when it went public. Going after profit at the expense of quality, reputation and customer service. I haven't forgotten the 750 Billion "bailout" of Wall Street foisted on America by GWB. As soon as the money flowed in, CEOs and top level managers took huge multi-million "bonuses" straight from the bailout as a pat on the back for managing the companies so poorly.
