Regulus graze? (& last 1x1 Cocoon)
Any interest in an expedition to watch/record next month's grazing occultation of Regulus? It will only be a total from the SLC area. To see the graze one needs to be up near Plymouth (I-15) or Snowville (I-84). http://www.fingerlakessynthetics.com/occultations/ZC1487_2007_Nov__3.htm http://lunar-occultations.com/iota/bstar/1103zc1487.htm And for those not yet tired of the binning comparison experiment I've got the last of the 1x1 Cocoon test images posted, 10 through 80 minute exposures: http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/ic5146/IC5146.010.1X1.JPG http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/ic5146/IC5146.020.1X1.JPG http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/ic5146/IC5146.030.1X1.JPG http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/ic5146/IC5146.040.1X1.JPG http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/ic5146/IC5146.050.1X1.JPG http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/ic5146/IC5146.060.1X1.JPG http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/ic5146/IC5146.070.1X1.JPG http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/ic5146/IC5146.080.1X1.JPG And for direct comparison of exposure times and binning here are 40 minute exposures binned 1x1, 2x2 and 3x3: http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/ic5146/IC5146.040.1X1.JPG http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/ic5146/IC5146.040.2X2.JPG http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/ic5146/IC5146.040.3X3.JPG patrick
