The GoogleMars elevation map is really astounding - with the multiple images - visual, elevation false color, infrared and position markers. In the elevation map, you can really follow the Valles Marineris system down to the ancient fluid sculpted plains and on to the postulated ancient north polar Mars ocean bed. Hopefully, Google will make the same enhancements to their lunar map - which would be alot more useful to a broad seqment of amateur community. http://moon.google.com/ - Canopus56(Kurt) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Hi all, I have posted one of my eclipse photos on the gallery -- had to downsize it because the original was too large. Thanks, Joe
Nice shot Joe. It somehow looks fitting sitting next to the Ring Nebula... Quoting Joe Bauman <bau@desnews.com>:

The Commadore 64 is connected and we are crusin'... Mars looks awsome on a green screen! Would probably look better in amber. That will have to wait until next payday! Thanks for the link. Quoting Patrick Wiggins <paw@wirelessbeehive.com>:

At least your Commadore connects. I can't seem to turn the crank on this ancient iMac fast enough to tie in to the site. Have to wait until I get home, I guess. -- Joe

Joe, you might do what I do when this thing fails to connect. I put it on the floor and "boot" it across the room. Sometimes it doesn't work the first time so then I have to "re-boot" it again. ;) Quoting Joe Bauman <bau@desnews.com>:

Commadore 64! I thought I was spoiled with the ol' Sinclair. My TV interface over the years has gotten a little funky. On Mar 13, 2006, at 4:00 PM, diveboss@xmission.com wrote:

In order to get a jump on things, the wife signed up for one of those home study computer course back in early 1980 something, and as part of the course, they sent her a Sinclair 6400 or something like that. Keys looked like they were made out of "Chiclets". I remember having to literally beat the snot out of the old black and white T.V. to get it to stay on channel 3. Yeah, I remember the Sinclair. Go Commadore! ;) Quoting Dave Gary <Dave.Gary@m.cc.utah.edu>:
