Joe, Maybe I'll try guiding by October too. What autoguider are you using? I'm going to use a webcam with the Guidedog software. For fainter objects, I may have to buy an autoguider. Deb

Hey Guy, I have decided to take off some time around the new moon in October, starting with Friday, July 30. Is there any chance we can be finished by then? I'd love to be able to take some guide-scope guided photos, for the first time. Thanks! Joe

Hi Deb, I have a Meade Deep Sky Imager that I want to use for autoguiding, and an SBIG camera for the photography. The Meade will autoguide; I tried it with a film camera and it seemed to work, but the camera wasn't on my Superwedge and the exposure was long, so I got a lot of streaks. I'm a true convert to digital, and from now on I plan to stay away from film -- both in my regular photography and astrophotography. Good luck, Joe
