With the crowds nonexistent and the weather getting better next week I may head to Bryce Canyon National park. I was thinking of setting up at Bryce Point, it's been a long time but the stars looked really good up there about 18 years ago. If I set up there, will that be a problem with the NPS? Motels are cheap and with the heat returning it sounds like a good idea to go up there. Anyone thinking of the same thing. May take the bicycle as well.
I was there Thursday to Sunday memorial day weekend. No crowds until Saturday. The shuttle buses were NOT running, because of Covid, so parking or even accessing areas was a mess when crowded. Night sky's were great on the clear nights. Lots of wind. I just took my binoculars (large and small) and just viewed from my car in dark area of hotel parking lot. Check with the rangers to be sure about night access to places. I'm sure it will be great. Jamie Bradley Additional: Watch out for deer. On the way down, a group of deer crossed in front of us on I-15 just before Mona. I breaked and avoided the first three but the fourth slammed into the side of our Xterra. Took off the mirror and dented both doors. All humans okay. Deer unknown. On Mon, Jun 8, 2020, 1:20 PM Debbie Whitaker <astrodeb777@gmail.com> wrote:
