My condition kept us from going to tonight's meeting, after all.. I have high hopes of being fully recovered by the next board meeting, which we are planning to attend, and of course the following meetings. Could someone please bring me up to date on tonight's presentation? Again, thanks, Joe
I was looking for you Joe. Disappointed you weren't there, but then I knew you had health issues. As for the meeting. It went great, but then I am probably prejudice. The four presenters from Salt Lake Community College were great. The new venue is easy to get to and a very nice (read that terrific) setup. The SLCC Astronomical Society is hosting us, so we don't have to pay rent. Parking was free tonight and close to the building. It is believed parking will be free in the future, but that is not a guarantee. AND it was the largest turnout in a long time- 62. I had hoped to make it last night since the community college is only a ten minute drive from my house, but this broken rib has been taking a toll, especially since I'm putting in a full day at work as well. Too worn-out to stay up a little late, I was asleep shortly after the meeting started. Maybe next time. On Wed, May 20, 2015 at 11:42 PM, Joan Carman <jcarman6@q.com> wrote:

That's one of the reasons SLAS moved to SLCC. It's more centrally located in the valley so members in the southern end won't have to go so far. The location point was made with the obvious upturn in attendance. Sorry about the broken rib - ouch - and you can't even put a band-aid on it. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chuck Hards" <chuck.hards@gmail.com> To: "Utah Astronomy" <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Thursday, May 21, 2015 5:31:51 AM Subject: Re: [Utah-astronomy] Tonight's meeting I had hoped to make it last night since the community college is only a ten minute drive from my house, but this broken rib has been taking a toll, especially since I'm putting in a full day at work as well.
