I have been observing the sun since June 6 with my Coronodo and finally saw my first flare. The flare was not seen after about three hours. Any thoughts on how long flares last? Are you sure you are not confusing prominences with flares? Flares last minutes to an hour, prominences can last for hours or days. They are all associated with sun spot activity.
