Andromeda Galaxy-M31 (8 August 2013)
The driveway observatory was up last night in St. George. One of the first clear nights we’ve had in some time. http://www.flickr.com/photos/78046474@N06/with/9466806620/

Great shot, Dave! Is that a single frame, or did you stack? Tell Sheena about Driveway Observatory. On Thu, Aug 8, 2013 at 9:20 AM, Dave Gary <davegary@me.com> wrote:

That’s a single frame. In fact, it’s the first shot I took. I took about 8 shots. This one was 4 minutes, guided. In the other exposures the stars were a little too elongated. Tonight, I hope to get the polar alignment a little closer to dead-on. That’s always a challenge for me and I’m too lazy and impatient to do the drift method. I’m trying to decide what to go for in tonight’s session. There’s a lot to choose from. Dave On Aug 8, 2013, at 11:04 AM, Chuck Hards <chuck.hards@gmail.com> wrote:

That's great for one exposure. If you could get several more like that and stack them it would really pop. I really need to get out and image Andromeda. Jared On Thu, Aug 8, 2013 at 11:15 AM, Dave Gary <davegary@me.com> wrote:
