I had a reporter from the Tribune call me last night, telling me that he had received several phone calls from people reporting seeing "green lights" in the sky (I assume it was Saturday night), like meteors. I told him I hadn't heard a single word from the local astro-community. I assume nobody has...? __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! There was some video on channel 2 the other night that showed a Russian rocket burning up over Denver. Maybe that's what they saw. http://kutv.com/topstories/topstories_story_004123436.html Ken <I had a reporter from the Tribune call me last night, <telling me that he had received several phone calls <from people reporting seeing "green lights" in the sky <(I assume it was Saturday night), like meteors. Interestingly enough, a fellow colleague at work just approached me (unsolicited mind you) and asked me if anyone had seen meteors recently! I told him, "as a matter of fact, I got this call Sunday..." and he proceeded to tell me that he was headed southbound Redwood road, between 72nd and 75th south, about 10:22 pm Saturday night, and saw a bright streak of light (didn't mention any color, just said it was bright and very fast) drop almost (slight angle from left to right) vertically towards the horizon, but it disappeared behind an overpass when he lost sight of it, so no idea if it impacted (or traveled completely to the horizon) or not. So there you have it! Joe, don't suppose you wanna pass that info along to your friends at the trib? ;o) --- Ken Warner <KillerKen@killerken.com> wrote:
