Yes. This was one of the highlights of the time that I have been involved in astronomy. I sat in my front yard in Layton and watched the display all around me. To the north it was so bright it looked like the Moon was rising. Above us the sheets of green were changing to red and over the mountains towards Morgan it was a deep red.
