Brian May is the guitarist for Queen. He graduated with a BA in astrophysics before Queen started up, and was working on his PhD when Queen hit it big. He never left astrophysics though, he wrote a few papers in the '80s, and worked with Patrick Moore on a couple of books. He finally finished his PhD in 2006. And I say he looks like Isaac Newton.
