ISS to cross Moon Tuesday morning
ISS is predicted to cross the Moon Tuesday morning as seen from SPOC at 3h 51m 12.17s, The ground track then heads SE across the mountains and across the extreme southern Salt Lake Valley. Sorry about the very long URL but it leads to a map showing the track. patrick http://www.calsky.com/ Transitline=&obs=79303019710733&tdt=2454375.91125609&sat=25544&interval= 0.00011574&step=0.00000231&mainbody=10 <http://www.calsky.com/? Patrick, How's about a photography session at SPOC? Sounds very exciting. Thanks, Joe

If it's clear I'll be taking data in my observatory and plan to just lay on my roof and watch the transit with binoculars. patrick On 28 Sep 2007, at 23:33, Joe Bauman wrote:

Patrick, if it's clear I would like to set up my telescope with camera. Would there be a way that I could drive close to the observatory, and not try to lug the 'scope from the parking lot on the other side of the the skateboard facility? Many thanks, Joe Patrick Wiggins <paw@wirelessbeehive.com> wrote: If it's clear I'll be taking data in my observatory and plan to just lay on my roof and watch the transit with binoculars. patrick On 28 Sep 2007, at 23:33, Joe Bauman wrote:

Hi Joe, (and everyone else) Getting through the SPOC gate is easy (gate combination is available to all current SLAS members on the "Reserve Observatory" page on the SLAS site). However, I just checked and found the track has moved south a bit so SPOC is probably not a good option. The center line is now predicted to pass just two doors south of me so folks are welcome to come set up in front of my place (just let me know if you're coming so I can deactivate the perimeter defenses Guy sold me...). patrick On 29 Sep 2007, at 09:41, Joe Bauman wrote:
