Re: [Utah-astronomy] Exoplanet lightcurve
Hi Patrick, I'm very close to first light in our high school observatory. I need to come watch you do this so I can teach my students how. I'm still working on polar alignment and CCD camera software installation. Thanks, Wayne A. Heartiest congrats, Patrick!
Thanks but no congrats are necessary as I've done it so many times it's really become quite simple and straightforward. Now I'm looking for others to help get started "taking data". patrick _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list Utah-Astronomy@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy Visit the Photo Gallery: http://www.slas.us/gallery2/main.php Visit the Wiki: http://www.utahastronomy.com
Hi Wayne (and Steve and others who expressed interest off list), I was going to write something here but Joe called and we spoke at length about this whole "taking data" thing, specifically exoplanets and said he was next going to interview Cindy and Jerry Foote (they're the ones that got me involved in exoplanet work and continue to be my mentors). Joe is then going to write something up and place it in his blog. So I think I'll hold off on going into detail here and wait to see what Joe pens so we don't duplicate efforts.
