Thank you all for the information and advice on my Dob project. It is nice to know when you need advice....... there are people willing to help. Mark
Mark, Anytime. We need to set up a time for me to swing by and see it. I have to get my car safety and smog tomorrow after school. Any other day would work. Your dob will be awesome! I can't wait to see it, and to see it in action. When your ready to star hop, let me know and I can help with that. It might be best to do it at your house or at mine since there are less stars. It's really not that hard. You just need a good atlas or a good computer program that will give you good maps. Jay, Thanks again. I am still waiting on the spider and secondary mirror to get to me. The company informed me that it was to ship the middle of last week, (I hope) I am hoping it comes by Wednesday so I can get it done. In the mean time I am making a couple of Oak Eyepiece Cases. I am going to install red LED lights in them with a dimmer. They will have a couple of drawers. I hope to have one to sell on Saturday and the Telescope to have fist light then. That is the plan if things workout this week for me. This is so fun to have both of my Hobby's converge in projects like this.
