It looks like if Discovery gets off the pad on time this afternoon we have a chance (albeit a poor one) of seeing it tonight. CalSky reports for SPOC (should be good for northern Utah too): Appears 0h27m03s 3.9mag az:306.3° NW horizon Disappears 0h29m06s 2.4mag az:307.0° NW h:10.7° patrick p.s. Off topic: I'm going to make a short flight this afternoon from SLC International to out over the Burning Man regional Burn near Grantsville. Anyone care to come along? If so call me at 435.882.1209 by 2:45 p.m. I plan on taking off at 3 but could push that back if needed.
Like don't you just live down the road??? Wouldn't it be cheaper and quicker to just walk there? ;) In honor of Burning Man celebrations, if you would like, I could light you on fire to help get you there quicker. ;) Always remember the Burning Man motto: If you give a man fire, he is warm for a day, light him on fire and he will be warm the rest of his life! ;) Just doing my part! Cheaper? Yes. But not nearly as much fun!

I'll pass... Cheers, patrick p.s. To get this back on topic, NASA TV reports they are about to clear the pad and on schedule for a 15:02 MDT launch. The orbiter is pressurized and they are working no issues.
