I'm thinking about getting a C-5 OTA for my Tele-Track mount, to expand the aperture available on my "grab and go(to)" setup. I haven't made up my mind yet, but I'm thinking a C-5 would be the best combination of aperture and compactness, that the Tele-Track could handle. Does anyone local have one that they'd be willing to let me peek through? Or know of one for-sale at a reasonable price? I'm only after the optical tube assembly (OTA), not a mount or accessories. I'm watching a couple of auctions and classified ads currently, but always looking for the best deal.
Hi Chuck, I've got a C-5 OTA. It's not for sale but you're welcome to borrow it. patrick On 28 May 2010, at 01:14, Chuck Hards wrote:

If the weather gods smile on us for tomorrow night, what are the chances of you dusting it off and bringing it over to SPOC? Otherwise mightn't you let it go for a few days in my care? What comments can you share on it, Patrick? Thanks for the offer! On 5/28/10, Patrick Wiggins <paw@wirelessbeehive.com> wrote:

The EALing scope at SPOC has an Orion 127 Mak as a finder scope. Not exactly the same but pretty close. Thanks Bob, I've used that particular scope a lot and am very familiar with it. It's a tad slower than the C-5, but the 127 Mak is definitely in the running. It's on the long side for the Tele-Track mount but could work if balanced right. On 5/28/10, Robert Taylor <Rob.Taylor@digis.net> wrote:
