Just thought I would post my dark site observing tentative plans: I am looking to head out tomorrow night, most likely Pit n Pole but I may go all the way to Vernon and spend the night. It is suppose to be clear tomorrow night and I can get in 3 to 4 hours of observing. Mid week is a no go unfortunately as the weather may be a factor. Two models show us getting hit with tropical moisture and then the other model with that moisture heading to the east of us. If that happens (moisture misses us to the east) mid week will be open and I will for sure head to Vernon. Friday is good, partly cloudy but I'll risk a trip to Vernon that night and plans to camp over. I am also planning going to Vernon on Monday the 15th and Tuesday the 16th for two nights. Depending on weather I may travel to the Rocky Mountain Star Stare but weather there is looking worst then here so that will probably be a wash. On another note I am planning on attending the Golden Gate Star Party on July 15th to July 19th. Here is the link: GGSP <http://www.goldenstatestarparty.org/> I ordered a trailer to haul and store some of my stuff and scopes, but I don't think it will be here until July, just before the GGSP I hope. It isn't very big, just big enough to haul my equipment and scopes and be towed by my Outback. It will fit my Cabelas XLT cot so I can have a place to sleep if I want besides the tent or the back of the Outback. If for some reason I change my mind on GGSP I would like to head to the Wedge for new moon in July as long as weather cooperates. So if your interested in heading out, let me know and check with me to make sure I am going. -- Thanks! Jay
