Jupiter Occultation Reappearance at 2:45 AM tonight.
Jupiter Occultation Reappearance at 2:45 AM tonight. We won't see the disappearance but the reappearance will be visable if you can find a low eastern horizon. I'll make the trip up Emigration canyon to the Little Mountain parking lot but I plan to view through the windshield with binoculars........ with the engine running. Brrrrrr. Daniel, It's cold nights like these that call for a goto like the ETX125, a laptop w/Lunar Planetary Imager and a hot thermos of coffee. With the windows rolled up and the heater running, you wouldn't have to listen to it slew. Now if I could just design a skid plate for it and the tripod, you wouldn't have to get out of the vehicle to pack it up. You could just put the truck in drive and drag it home. Though you might have to beef up the cables some... ;) Have a good time. Quoting daniel turner <outwest112@yahoo.com>:
