I'm looking for old, unused rack-and-pinion focusers with metal racks and gears. I'll pay you a fair price (read: bottom-dollar, haul it off, surplus price) if I can use it. I'm really only interested in the parts, so if you have metal racks with matching pinions or spur gears, those might work too. No plastic. Thanks!
Chuck:I have a complete focuser from a Meade 395. Metal rack and pinion gears I believe. I assume when you say "unused" you mean currently not in use cause this sucker is used but in good condition. It's FREE to a great cause and it appears as though the scopes you are building is a good cause. You know where I live, do you still have my phone number? Please give me a quick call before coming over ok?Email me back if you need the phone number. Steve

Thanks Steve, I have your number. Yep, unused as in currently not on a telescope. Might be Friday before I can connect with you though. I might have something to trade that might interest you, if money doesn't.
Well, it isn't that money doesn't interest me but...........something to trade sounds interesting. Give me a call, waiting till Friday is no problem. It isn't going anywhere.Steve

I've still got this 50mm guide scope available: http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/guide.jpg All metal R&P focuser. 20 Erfle and mounting rings and lots of dust on the exterior included. :) Older than some of the people on this list. Make offer. Clear skies, patrick
