Here's my report on the lecture by Assistant Prof. Adam S. Bolton to the Salt Lake Astronomical Society on Tuesday: http://www.deseretnews.com/blog/47/10012514/Nightly-news-astronomy-Einstein-...
Great blog, Joe, as usual! My only comment is that prof. Bolton seems to have "dumbed-down" the gravitational lens issue, perhaps for a broader audience. His comments seem to be several years (a decade or more, really), out of date. His goatee is terrific, however! Thanks again!
Thanks, Chuck -- or maybe I wasn't smart enough to understand it and dumbed it down myself! ________________________________ From: Chuck Hards <chuck.hards@gmail.com> To: Utah Astronomy <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Friday, October 21, 2011 10:36 PM Subject: Re: [Utah-astronomy] Fascinating lecture to SLAS Great blog, Joe, as usual! Nonsense, Joe. You just reported what was presented, as any professional writer would do. Many thanks! On Oct 21, 2011 10:52 PM, "Joe Bauman" <josephmbauman@yahoo.com> wrote:

While I will admit that some of the talk was a bit advanced for me it did inspire me to try to image the Einstein Cross. It's well placed for imaging this time of year so I "went deep" last night guessing I'd not be able to record it. And I was right. :) Though I did get the foreground galaxy. Thanks for another nice article Joe. patrick
