As a horse owner, I can testify to their curiosity. The best way to be approached by a horse is often to ignore it completely while you are working on something in their vicinity. Every time I take my tools into a horse's stall to fix something, invariably I have their nose over my shoulder trying to figure out what I'm up to; "is it edible?", and "can I play with it?".
