When I was a child of six or so, our family took a weekend trip to southern Utah and visited the Parowan Gap. While there, we discovered a 19th century "signature" on the rock (graffito) that said, "Hyatt." I don't recall if there was either a first name or a date. My dad took a photo of my brother and me by the name. For the record, my family came to Utah from Illinois in the 1940's and 50's. I am not related to any Hyatt's from Payson, Paragonah or Parowan and am not related to the Hyatt who vandalized the Parowan Gap rock art site.
