Anyone care to respond here? --- "Hatch, Bruce" <Bruce_Hatch@ATK.COM> wrote: Rich, ...I have contacted a bit of aperture fever and have been reading the latest info on building large truss Dobsonian scopes. This reading includes Kriege and Berry's book "The Dobsonian Telescope - A Practical Manual for Building Large Aperture Telescopes", which is quite complete and an excellent reference. The instrument that I build will be in the 15-16" range with F4.5 or F5 optics. I would probably use a Nova mirror. Are you aware of anyone in the north Utah county area that is doing anything similar? Thanks ahead of time for any info you may have. Bruce, I know of three mirrors being worked on at the present time. Two are 16" and one is 18" The 16s are being done by Lee Priest and Dave Dunn in Ogden. They are grinding in my current class. The 18 is going to be started by Scott Hill in SL. Brent --- Richard Tenney <retenney@yahoo.com> wrote:
