Joe, I set up at one of the viewpoints before the turnoff to Dead Horse State Park two years ago. It was overlooking one of the canyons and was a good spot. The light pollution was on the horizon and didn't affect my viewing. In fact, I observed the Snake Nebula and the Parrot Face dark nebulae there. Debbie
