At about 4:45am on Friday (this) morning, the ISS at about -2 mag will pass 5 degrees under the Moon and then a couple of minutes later, about 3 degrees above Jupiter. The Moon will be visible from the valley, but mountains will block a view of Jupiter from the valley floor. Mar and Venus will be below the horizon. This may make a wide field imaging opportunity. The Clear Sky Clock looks iffy for 5am on Friday morning. On Saturday morning at 5h08m31s, a similar event will occur. See http://www.calsky.com/ for more details. Clear Skies - Kurt
