There's an article starting on page 38 of the current (June) issue of S&T about building and using a Solargraph. Looks like a fun, albeit long term, project. Has anyone here ever tried that? patrick
My S&T issue has been sitting there for days waiting for me to open it up. I'll let you know once I get to it! I've been gathering the parts for years, for a Jack Newton style solar spectroscope. I finally have everything I need. It allows you to see prominences without conventional narrowband filtration, using a diffraction grating to isolate the proper wavelength.
