Re: Partial Lunar Eclipse Monday morning
Excellent partial eclipse under perfectly transparent skies. Shadow moving-off the lunar face as I write this post. Penumbral shading quite apparent. The moon was actually rather higher than I expected, not down in the muck at all. Thanks for the notice, Kurt!

Although it looks like it will be clouded out, there will be a partial eclipse of the Moon on 10/17/2005 12:03:21 UTC (Monday morning 10/17/2005 at 6:03 AM MST) visible low on the western horizon.

Thanks, Chuck. A few poor telephoto lens shots I took - http://members.csolutions.net/fisherka/astronote/observed/20051017lunareclip... The SPOC Ealing showed some brown tinges in the umbra at 100x. This was the last solar/lunar eclipse visible in North America through August 2007. Time to switch to DSOs. - Canopus56(Kurt) __________________________________ Start your day with Yahoo! - Make it your home page! http://www.yahoo.com/r/hs
