RE: [Utah-astronomy] 2 free Flagstaff openings for the Mars watch
I just talked to Tim, and he's too pooped from his adventures in Africa to do more this weekend, so your tickets should go to more energetic folks. We'll watch mars from SLC. What sort of private star parties are there this weekend, anyway? ----Original Message----- From: Joe Bauman [mailto:bau@desnews.com] Sent: Sun 8/24/2003 4:10 PM To: Visit http://www.utahastronomy.com for the photo gallery. Cc: Subject: RE: [Utah-astronomy] 2 free Flagstaff openings for the Mars watch Hi, sorry to just be getting back now -- I've been off work and not checking email because of the horrible flood of spam that has built up. One of the options is gone but the other is still available. It's for Friday night at the Lowell observatory. Hi Holly, after I write about a pet show I'm going to try and round up all the info I can on Mars parties and write an article about them -- don't know yet -- just back from my own extremely exhausting vacation. Friends, can anyone tell me in the next few minutes where I can reach Dave Bennett during the day? There's been confusion about the Flagstaff slot and we need to coordinate. Thanks, Joe Joe Bauman science & military reporter Deseret News bau@desnews.com (801) 237-2169
Hi Joe, Dave here... I can be reached at 583-3295 until 2pm today when Kim and I drive out for Flagstaff. I spoke to Siegfried moments ago regarding the slots available. Dave Bernson, who I had reserved the slot for, is unable to make it down so both of your slots are still available. Who was the other party that was interested? Wayne Reese by chance? I gave him info regarding the trip. Dave On Thursday, August 28, 2003, at 10:32 AM, Joe Bauman wrote:

Yes, as we discussed on the phone, it is Wayne, and I'm embarrassed by the mixup! My very best wishes, Joe Joe Bauman science & military reporter Deseret News bau@desnews.com (801) 237-2169
