Howdy folks, I've been asked by a guy at NASA Goddard what crops are grown in those huge irrigation/crop circles on the southwest shore or Utah Lake (plainly visible on maps.google.com). Anyone here happen to know? Thanks, patrick
Animal feed mostly. Alfalfa hay. On Jan 18, 2012 8:14 PM, "Patrick Wiggins" <paw@wirelessbeehive.com> wrote:

Feed prices have soared in recent years. Quite a few landowners with water rights have moved to alfalfa production and sell it as hay. I'm not sure why prices have gone up but some spectulate that it's due to more of the agricultural crop going to bio-fuel production instead of food and feed products.
